Fuchsia Inside and Out
This lovely Fuchsia is peering over the wall from my neighbours garden. The variety is F. Magellanica "Riccartonii, the most popular and hardiest of the fuchsias. It looks so elegant right now with its colourful bell-shaped flowers hanging from the branches. I went inside to see my own Fuchsia, unfortunately it is only on a lamp shade, the good thing is, it is handpainted and I like that.

Hi Ann
ReplyDeletethat is a beautiful display dropping over from the neighbour that you can enjoy...I was interested to read the name of the fuchsia as my suburb in Christchurch (my hometown in NZ) is called Riccarton. fancy that,
Happy days
I would not consider it unfortunate that your fuchsia is on the lamp shade. That is called everlasting and easy to care for. It also has a beautiful 'vase.' :) Nice capture of your neighbor's display.
ReplyDeleteI love fuschia, just don't have the climate for it. Great lampshade and pictures, thanks for sharing, Ann.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers and gardens speak volumes...Thank you for sharing this fuschia with us. Did you handpaint the lampshade?
ReplyDeleteSmiles from Jackie
I love your lamp Ann...all of it! We can only have fuchias here in hanging baskets during the summer months...You have a beautiful view. Thanks for visiting!
ReplyDeleteWanda
fuchsia = verenpisara is called in finnish "a drop of blood" and it was very common farmer houses in 50s-60s !
