On Saturday morning at the market, I spotted some nice bouquets of dried lavender for sale. The bouquets brough to mind some photos that I had taken last summer |
Busy bumble bees happily buzzing around pollinating the lavender |
The Tortoiseshell butterflies almost queuing up to get at it |

Even the Large White butterfly, often referred to as the Cabbage White, abandoned the cabbage patch for the lavender |
The peacock too was very interested in the it, not for any good reason, only to eat the butterflies |
And this little lady I thought might be nice here, but I'm afraid she doesn't look too happy. |

Beautiful pictures. I have just bought some dried lavender myself, so it was good to see some here. I really love the Irish cottage, too! You have a very interesting site. Thank you for sharing it.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful captures. Fantastic job on getting the butterflies. Love the Peacock.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Lavender is my favourite.

This is very beautiful post, and lovely peacock.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pleasure to watch your photos! :) Now I really feel the Spring is here when I watch your photos! Lovely photos! :)
ReplyDeleteA peacock and lavender flowers looks so beautiful !!!
ReplyDeleteCertain blog posts make me desperately wish for an interactive "Scratch-n-Sniff" feature, and this is certainly one of them!! :-) Beautiful photos, and such an exquisitely handsome peacock (though naughty - I didn't know peacocks ate butterflies! They should switch to midges instead! It obviously even made the poor little lady weep, in spite of her beautifully fragrant surroundings!) :-) Just a lovely post all the way around.
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you for your very sweet words on my post about Val the wee mouse! I really appreciate it.
Happy Earth Day!
