Cheeko, the neighbours cat, deciding what to have for dinner, a shubunkin, a red cap oranda, a koi or maybe just a plain goldfish
Got nothing there
A bird might be nicer
No luck
Maybe a bee or a butterfly
A quite snooze might be best.
Who would ever think, the cat, a cherished pet, is supposed to be the second most serious threat to the song bird population around the World.
it seems this cat got bored pretty easily, huh!! But never under estimate this feline. I used to have a cat which everyday will bring the remains of the bird - head, feather, wing, name it !! Everyday is a different part of the bird!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like the cat had quite an adventurous day in the garden...lot of nappin' goin' on there
ReplyDeleteWonderful, beautiful images! You really captured these well. I think the last one might be my favorite, though. =)
ReplyDeleteLovely photos, Ann! Years ago we had several cats, which I loved, but now that feeding the birds is so much a part of our routine, it wouldn't be fair to have one. Cheeko comes across as a very calm and gentle being!

Fun pics! Cheeko looks like an adventurous soul.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great photo story! I love this because we are cat people. We had three cats when we were first married. You've shown us a day in the life of a cat, mostly hunting,I see! Is the pond yours? I love it, wonder if the cat has ever gotten a fish from there? I also like the way you'e captured such beautiful flowers and plants with the cat, the purple ones are spectacular! That was quite a catch to find him climbing the tree!
ReplyDeleteI loce cats, and Cheeko is so sweet, this is really a great series of photos.
ReplyDeleteThe clematis is photo number four is amazing.
Cats are said to be poetry, surely beautiful set in scene by your photography. Please have a wonderful Thursday.

Cute story and beautiful pictures of the cat. Especially the one with all the purple flowers. :-)
ReplyDeleteLove the name Cheeko. Fun photos.

When all else fails, take a nap. We could learn a lot from cats. Lovely photo story.
ReplyDeleteFine series indeed!
ReplyDeleteAnd as the biologist I know Cat`s other character and I don`t like it at all. When small migrants finally get here for nesting it`s sad to see cats being so good "hunters", but it is the law of the nature!
Nice day to you and thank you for your visit my site
Nice entry of very lovely cat!
ReplyDeleteThe cat looks well-fed anyway! Maybe some kind human steps in. I like the framing method for your shots.
ReplyDeleteI really love the story and all photos...
ReplyDeleteThe cat is so cute... makes me wanna hug :)
Thanks for dropping by at my WW post
Cute cat series! We have an outdoor cat as well. That's his choice and he has never lived in doors. I deeply regret and damage he may do to birds and pray he's too busy with rodents to get to the winged ones. He does a fine job of squirrel, vole and mouse control, thankfully. He's a lounger, too. Ann, I adore your profile thumbnail with the giant book. Cute, cute, cute! Thanks for looking at my blog. You're a peach!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots of the cat in action.
ReplyDeleteI'm not crazy about cats, especially the ones that kill all the birds in my backyard! But your shots are fabulous!! Thanks for visiting my blog...
ReplyDeleteI think she just loves to be a celebraty and let you take her photos. Glad she didn't bring you a koi.
ReplyDeleteThank you for leaving a comment, love your story of the neighbors cat. Looks harmless sleeping in the flowers.
ReplyDeleteLOVELY, LOVELY PICS !!!! Great job ! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Ann, you have a beautiful blog, loved the cat photos, and oh my those peacocks, swoon! have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting me and leaving a comment.
ReplyDeleteI have a cat next door, called Billy. He is my gardening supervisor, following me around whenever I'm working outside. He doesn't bother with the birds, but is a great mouser.
Your clematis is fantastic. Ours was looking good until we had a monsoon this afternoon which has all but flattened it!
I keep mine indoors - a bell on the collar would work well for the outdoor cat. We don't have feeders due to the bears...not the cats!
