An Spideog (The Robin)


This little Spideog is singing its heart out in my garden morning, noon and night and getting more friendly with each day,  it is difficult to say if it is a male or female, as both look identical. Spideog is Irish for Robin.

    Such an endearing photo! Your European robins are so adorable, and so different from our much larger American robins. I love learning the Irish word for Robin, but am trying to figure out how you must pronounce it! I'm sure my guesses are totally wrong. :-)
