Just recently in my garden I saw what looked like a Magpie war, fourteen Magpies in all, creating an awful racket, screeching and giving out to each other. It brought to mind a little rhyme my friends and I used to say whenever we saw a Magpie.
One for sorrow, two for joy, three to get married,
four for a boy, five for silver, six for gold, seven for a secret that nobody knows.
I managed to photography eight of them, the other six were not too far away.
I must tell you this : Itwas in the midle of night. I didn't sleep so I watched a horor movie in tv and it came a sound outside like crows. I went to see and they were 5-6 black Ravens. One murmur something quietly first and then all 6 in chorus screamed. And they werent afraid as I claped my hands. A terrible noise !
